Apple Inc. (AAPL)
First on our watchlist is Apple. The one-time Trillion dollar tech behemoth has lost about $200 Billion in market cap over the past month and is trading lower again today after news that the Trump administration is considering a 10% tariff on iPhones and computers made in China. We’ve been watching shares of Apple fall from over $200 dollars a share before they released earnings to trading at just above $170 dollars today. We are closely watching to see where the bottom is for Apple as yesterday showed us a bullish reversal hammer indicator and with an RSI of under 30, shares of Apple are in oversold territory. but speculation today appears to be pushing shareprice lower.
Bitcoin (BTC)
Tech and Crypto have seen similar trends in 2018, both underperforming with bitcoin down over 70% on the year and down 40% in just the last month alone. With the ICO craze finally over and factoring in the growing pains that comes with creating an entirely new technology, known as the blockchain, these kinds of 70-90% pullbacks are expected and we have been waiting for a bitcoin bottom since prices dropped below $20,000 per coin back at the beginning of the year. Depending on how you look at BTC’s longterm chart, there have been multiple such 50-90% pullbacks since Bitcoin’s first block was mined at the start of 2009, only to see a coin come back while less patient investors missed out on the early trend reversal. As through out 2018, when it comes to Bitcoin, stay patient, don’t anticipate a reversal, wait for the chart to show you the reversal.
